Definition
The term of Conservation applies to all measures and actions undertaken to preserve an object of art while ensuring its structural functionality (remedial conservation), avoiding future deterioration (preventive conservation) and maintain its meaning and value through aesthetic treatments with respect to the original (restoration).
Method of working
Before starting any treatment, I will thoroughly examine the artwork and document the used materials and all sorts of damage. You will then get a cost estimation and treatment proposal. When approved by your side, my practical work begins. After completion you will not only receive your beautifully conserved piece of art but also a photographic and written documentation.
